Weldon Consulting Service was started by Dawn Weldon out of a desire to help companies succeed and reach their goals. Dawn gets great satisfaction from working with different clients, watching them grow and prosper in their business endeavors.
Dawn wanted to make available Human Resources expertise on as needed basis from small businesses that cannot afford a full time Human Resources professional to the medium sized company that needs additional Human Resources expertise for a particular Human Resources function.
Dawn has an accounting degree however found her passion resides in human resources. She has over 15 years of experience as a Human Resource Director mainly in healthcare and property management. In 2014, she received her PHR certification.
Dawn took several organizations that had minimal HR in place and implemented complete HRIS solutions in order to streamline HR procedures; this included recruiting, onboarding, compensation, performance management, employee benefits, and learning and development. These companies doubled or tripled in size during her tenure. She held manager trainings to assist them how to have employee conversations to help with retention and mitigate company risk. Dawn understands the cost and business disruption due to employee turnover.
Dawn is an active member of National Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Highland Griffith Chamber of Commerce.
